Who I am + Professional Philosophy
I’m Daniel Kesler, a business professional with a background spanning finance, recruiting, business administration, and technology. My academic and professional experiences have given me the opportunity to work across different environments and develop a broad perspective on how organizations operate, solve problems, and create value.
I’m particularly interested in the intersection of business strategy, technology, systems, and people. I enjoy understanding how different parts of an organization work together and finding practical ways to improve processes, solve problems, and support better outcomes.

My professional experience has spanned financial services, recruiting, management, and real estate, giving me exposure to both people-focused and operational sides of business. Much of my professional experience has been conducted remotely, requiring strong communication, organization, self-management, and the ability to build relationships across distributed teams.
In management and team leadership, I led a team of 25 employees, with a focus on productivity, customer satisfaction, and compliance. I particularly enjoyed building relationships with employees, coaching and developing team members, and helping individuals achieve their goals. I also worked closely with Human Resources on employee relations, conduct issues, and employment decisions, while regularly auditing reports, analyzing data, documenting processes, and identifying opportunities to minimize risk. My performance and leadership were recognized through multiple top-performer awards.
One of my most notable projects was piloting an AI-enabled performance management process with my team. The system gave employees greater visibility into performance trends, allowed them to set goals and celebrate accomplishments, and provided opportunities to understand how their performance compared with broader organizational benchmarks. The experience strengthened my interest in using technology to improve employee development and organizational performance.
My recruiting experience further developed my ability to operate in a high-volume, fast-paced environment. I hired an average of 12 applicants per week across numerous positions throughout the organization and was responsible for candidate screening, interviewing, extending offers, and coordinating closely with onboarding teams, hiring managers, trainers, and workforce management. I was measured on metrics including offers made, compliance, productivity, and retention, which strengthened my ability to balance speed, accuracy, organization, and candidate experience.
My experience in real estate added another perspective, providing exposure to sales, contract law, client relationships, and CRM technology. Working directly with clients strengthened my understanding of relationship management and the importance of effective communication throughout the sales process.
Across these experiences, I have developed a particular interest in how people, processes, and technology work together. Whether coaching a team, analyzing operational data, recruiting talent, managing risk, or working with clients, I enjoy finding practical ways to improve outcomes, reduce friction, and help people and organizations move forward.
